McDonalds US outstrips AUS in both total store count and per capita reach. However, the Australian market is one of the most profitable for McDonalds given the relative lack of competition in Australia compared to the US which is a very crowded and mature fast food marketplace. Our thinking is that McDonalds in Australia has a lot of room for growth, and there is also much room for the competition to step up.
